We can meet either in my home office in Scripps Ranch or in the comfort of your home, as is convenient for you and your baby. I will take a history of mom and baby’s health and breastfeeding problems as well as a short history of the birth. I bring with me a digital infant scale. I will use the scale for a pre and post feeding weight which will help us see how much milk baby transferred. I will watch you breastfeed your baby and offer suggestions to make the breastfeeding more comfortable and effective. I will answer your questions and provide information and resources. I have breastfeeding products with me if needed to help with breastfeeding. We will come up with a feeding plan together that you feel comfortable with. The consultation includes a couple of follow-up phone calls. I welcome your phone calls after our consultation regarding the breastfeeding problem. I will fax a complete report to the baby’s doctor and any health care providers as appropriate.

The initial consult is generally 2 hours. The follow up consults are usually 1 hour.

I offer private classes in breastfeeding (usually prenatal), going back to work, starting solids and weaning.

I provide a discount for military families and a sliding scale for families who are out of work.

I will provide you with a referral that your Pediatrician can sign. You will be given a receipt with detailed information of our appointment and instructions on how to file for reimbursement.

I rent Symphony pumps, Medela scales and I sell any breastfeeding supply that we would need during a consultation.

Gift certificates are available for my services for the new mother in your life.  You can gift mom with either a full 2 hour initial consult or an initial with one follow up. This makes an excellent shower or new baby gift that can be used at a time most convenient for mom and has no expiration date. I can mail this to either you or to mom directly.
